A polar is a number conditional on geometry, Reynolds number and transition. Uncertainty quantification says how those inputs, and the numerical error, move the number. A band without a stated input is not confidence.

Bayesian optimization fits a surrogate, often a Gaussian process, and chooses the next real aerodynamic evaluation where the surrogate is either promising or still unsure. The shape you keep is recomputed by the real solver.

A physics-informed model is trained to match measured or computed data and to keep a residual of the governing equations small. Its output is still a model. It becomes a polar only after a declared aerodynamic method, or a test, agrees.

Suction, blowing and a synthetic jet change the boundary layer by adding or removing momentum. The actuator power is part of the drag accounting. A lower section CD that ignores that power is not a better airplane.

Bird wings change camber, use a small leading-edge feather like a slat, and fly at low Reynolds number. Those are lessons for devices and schedules. A traced bird outline is not an airfoil polar.
