Aircraft conceptual design software — live now

HENSYNTH

Close the mission early. Shape the aircraft. Screen, trade and report — with every calculated number labelled for what it is.

HENSYNTH is HENDOI’s aircraft-level product for conceptual and preliminary design. It is live in the browser on your HENDOI account — the same login as HENFOIL. Conceptual analysis only: not a wind-tunnel campaign and not a certification report.

What it is

A browser workspace for the aircraft, after the section is chosen.

Purpose: help OEMs, UAV teams, labs and design offices answer “does this aircraft meet the mission?” at conceptual fidelity — before they commit to expensive CFD, FEA or hardware.

You state the mission on Requirements, enter or synthesize geometry, run multidisciplinary screening (atmosphere, weight, aerodynamics, propulsion, performance), read a compliance matrix with margins, then continue into Mission, Performance, Trades, Optimize and Reports. A value the engine did not compute is not invented.

HENFOIL remains the section product for airfoil design, analysis and selection. Carry a chosen section into HENSYNTH for aircraft-level work. Both products share Student, Professional and Team plans.

Not CFD

Analytical and semi-empirical methods for conceptual work. No Navier–Stokes solver for certification.

Not FEA

No structural finite-element certification model. Preliminary mass and loads only.

Requirement driven

Each mission target is tracked as pass, warning or fail, with the margin shown.

Problems it solves

Pain points aerospace teams hit before the first solid trade.

Scattered spreadsheets

Mission targets, mass build-up, drag estimates and compliance live in different files. Nobody can see which number belongs to which method.

Late CFD for early questions

Teams burn days on mesh and solver setup when the real question is still “does this mission close?” at conceptual fidelity.

No pass / fail trail

Review asks why a candidate won. Without a compliance matrix and margins, the answer is opinion, not evidence.

Section work stuck apart from the aircraft

Airfoil tools stop at the section. Aircraft tools ignore how the section was chosen. The trail breaks between products.

Compared to existing tools

Where HENSYNTH fits — and where it does not.

Spreadsheets & one-off scripts

Fast to start, hard to audit. HENSYNTH keeps geometry, requirements, screening and reports in one browser workspace with a method name on each calculated number.

Full CFD / FEA suites

Essential later. Wrong cost and fidelity for first mission closure. HENSYNTH is conceptual and preliminary screening — not Navier–Stokes or certification FEA.

Legacy desktop conceptual codes

Often install-heavy, hard to share, and weak on a modern compliance trail. HENSYNTH runs in the browser on your HENDOI account so OEM and UAV teams can share the same project trail.

HENFOIL alone

HENFOIL owns the airfoil. HENSYNTH owns the aircraft after the section is chosen. Use both on one account — section → mission → trade.

Design loop

From mission to report

  1. 01Define the mission on Requirements
  2. 02Enter aircraft geometry and save
  3. 03Run screening — atmosphere, weight, aerodynamics, propulsion and performance
  4. 04Read compliance PASS / FAIL and margins
  5. 05Synthesize candidates, then Mission, Performance, Trades or Optimize
  6. 06Download zip packages or the analyze PDF from Reports

Aircraft types

Configurations the product holds

  • Conventional fixed-wing
  • Fixed-wing UAV
  • Electric UAV
  • Piston-propeller
  • Flying wing, canard and glider
  • Turbojet, turbofan and turboprop
  • eVTOL, multicopter and tilt-rotor

Propulsion kinds in the same product: electric, piston, hybrid, turbojet, turbofan and turboprop. Screening depth depends on the configuration you enter.

Analysis

What the engine calculates

Core analysis on a run, then the decision modules aircraft and UAV teams use at the conceptual stage. Prices stay Student USD 9, Professional USD 29 and Team USD 89 — the same plans as HENFOIL.

Atmosphere

ISA with an optional temperature offset, up to 20 km.

Geometry

Trapezoidal wing, mean aerodynamic chord, and tail volumes.

Aerodynamics

Wetted-area drag, a parabolic polar, Schrenk spanload, and a horseshoe vortex lattice.

Weights and CG

Component build-up, iterative maximum takeoff weight, and loading cases.

Propulsion

Electric chain, piston power lapse, and a hybrid split.

Performance

Cruise, range, endurance, climb, takeoff and landing.

Mission

Coupled segments for mass, fuel or state of charge, altitude and center of gravity.

Stability

Static margin, trim, and approximate modes.

Optimization

Sweeps, design of experiments, Pareto, Monte Carlo and robustness.

Reports

An engineering report from calculated blocks, with a method name on each number.

Share thoughts and ideas — help us build better solutions

We are looking for aerospace industry collaboration. Share your thoughts, ideas and real workflow challenges so we can improve our products and deliver the best solutions for OEMs, UAV / eVTOL teams, labs and aeronautical engineering companies.

  • What slows your team with tools you use today?
  • What would make HENFOIL, HENSYNTH or our upcoming stack (HENMESH, HENFLOW, HENSTRUCT) more useful in your pipeline?
  • Ideas for mesh, CFD or structural workflows we should prioritise next?

Get started

If you do not have an account yet, create one and try HENSYNTH.

Register on HENDOI, pick a plan, open HENSYNTH from your dashboard, and run your first mission screen. Same account unlocks HENFOIL for the section. Student USD 9, Professional USD 29, Team USD 89.
